By self decree, if I should be on the computer past 10:15 then I will FORCE myself to make a slog of art, and post it.  So here is my first one.
•hopefully this kind of sick punishment will prevent me staying up

damnstraightjkimqueer asked: where can i read chapter two, three, and four of Mars no kiss?

Hi,

You can find the complete series here!

http://www.mangago.com/r/l_manga/manga/mars_no_kiss/tr/view/file/111692/page/1/

Read it while you can, these sites go down all the time because they’re usually doing something illegal. If you really enjoy the series and don’t want to keep searching for it again, you could buy a copy here to support the artist! It’s actually an anthology call Confession. And um…It’s in another language…

But it’s pretty! I hope you enjoy, and thanks for asking!

No Kony 2012

“30 minutes of video and you’re an activist.” Well, I guess it has to start somewhere and we are the children of multimedia communications. Maybe a few of us found out through a text, or a Facebook friend group. Some of us could have heard the old fashioned way, by word of mouth. And maybe some of us saw Invisible Children five years ago, at a screening in college and wondered if there would be a day when it all worked out. However we got the news, and you’ll get it, it doesn’t change the atrocities.

What I find bewildering is the fact that people are so willing to look into the charity helping these children as a way to dismiss the problem. 31% is a low number, but 0% is worse. This man, Joseph Kony, is brutalizing children. One child is too many. A report of over 10,000 children? How can we ignore that? How can you dismiss it?

When I was in college a residential/commercial building off campus burned down. We immediately sought help from The Red Cross. Any kind of aid at all because these students (from two neighboring colleges) were homeless, and their belongings, clothing, books, all perished in the fire. We kept our campus center open and housed them until we could find willing students to take them in. The Red Cross sent nothing. That year, we sent a different charity donations.

If you don’t like the organization, that’s fine. There are others that do similar jobs. If you don’t like the idea of military involvement, I encourage you to find some other way. If you don’t like anything at all? That’s fine too. Just don’t get bent out of shape if I judge you for your opinions the way you’re probably judging me.

And for the record, I’m glad it’s trendy to care about people. This trend is way better than that other trend when we didn’t care about anything at all.
